Manatee Viewing Center is 2.5 mi. w. of I-75 exit 246 (Big Bend Rd.) at jct. Big Bend (CR 672) and Dickman rds. The center is across the warm-water discharge canal from the Tampa Electric Big Bend power plant and features an observation platform for manatee watching. Other displays cover Florida yard landscaping, power plant and solar generation and by-product recycling. A nature trail provides closer glimpses of native plants and wildlife.
